Erika and Camilo had a stylish urban wedding at The Star and Garter, Putney in the autumn and I travelled down to capture the memories of their special day. I had photographed Camilo's brother's wedding the previous autumn - it's such a privilege to be recommended and reunite with my couples and their families.
I began by visiting the groom, who got ready at home in London with his four groomsmen including his brother as best man, all who were in great spirits! I then went to the bride, who was having her hair and makeup done by talented mobile stylists at her parent's apartment alongside four bridesmaids, three flower girls and their eldest son as pageboy.
Erika looked absolutely stunning and arrived with her father in a chauffeur-driven Tesla. The civil marriage ceremony was led by registrars in a beautifully decorated ballroom and then everyone went outside for photographs by the River Thames.

The reception began with a 3 course meal and emotional speeches in both Spanish and English, to include Colombian family. A local DJ got the party started and Erika followed the tradition of throwing her bouquet to mark out whose turn it is to be married next! I had a fantastic time photographing this city wedding and wish the new Mr and Mrs Contento and their two sons every happiness.
