Kerry and Robert - the true definition of a couple doing everything their way to make their wedding at Harburn Barn completely unique. From building an amazing altar for the ceremony to creating their own bar in a trailer, they managed to design their dream wedding and, with a little help from family and friends, see it brought to life. I was delighted to be part of their vision and capture the memories of their amazing day to treasure for years to come.

Kerry had a relaxed and chilled morning surrounded by her friends and family, getting ready at the accommodation onsite which had rooms for all the bridesmaids to stay over.
Robert had arranged for a bouquet of roses to be delivered in the morning, along with a handwritten letter including the lyrics to a song he had written his bride-to-be. So romantic! I adored the rustic styling, and eclectic touches like the bride's fringed denim jacket and their dog's tartan bow tie collar.
Kerry and Robert tied the knot with a traditional handfasting as part of their celebrant-led humanist wedding ceremony. Their beloved dog Romeo joined them signing the marriage schedule - he simply couldn't be left out! I lined all the guests up to form an aisle for the newlyweds to walk through for a confetti shower. I adore confetti pictures and dried petals are an eco-friendly and divinely scented alternative that is really gaining popularity now, as I urge all my couples to opt for a biodegradable option.
Robert's Dad helped to build their very own trailer bar (which they now hire out - check out @romeosbar2019 on Instagram) which provided drinks and refreshments during cocktail hour. It was a gloriously sunny day and everyone enjoyed mingling outside in the gorgeous grounds around the barn and admiring Robert's vintage mini cooper, before going through to the beautifully decorated marquee for dinner and speeches.
A perfect summer evening followed, with the guests heading back into the barn for some fantastic live music to get everybody dancing. I loved photographing at Harburn Barn: if you're tying the knot there and looking for a photographer, please do get in touch!
