Jen and Greig married at Inglewood House in Alloa on a glorious summer day. Picture grand wooden staircases leading to stunning stained-glass windows; beautiful grounds with woodlands, fields and a lake and of course the impressive house itself, which has a luxury spa and room for everyone to stay (with newly added forest lodges outside). Staff including manager David and Event Co-ordinator Alison go above and beyond to ensure everything is perfect and that in turn makes my job even easier.
Jenny got ready with her bridesmaids and Mum in the dedicated dressing suite at Inglewood House. She boldly decided she wanted to cut her hair into a pixie crop the night before the wedding – she looked incredible! Point Nouveau Bridal was on hand to help steam the dresses.

Greig and Jenny chose a Humanist celebrant to conduct their ceremony. I loved their humorous and personal vows, and hearing the story of how they met, and what they have achieved and overcome together so far. It celebrated the solid bond and love that they share - and I lost count of the Rangers Football Club references that had everyone laughing!
It was a perfect August day so while all their guests were enjoying some tasty canapes and fawning over Jen's gorgeous Scotty dogs who came to join the party, we wandered through the grounds and down to the lake for portraits. I help couples to relax with minimal direction, just keeping them chatting and laughing and giving plenty of opportunities to be affectionate with one another, so that they barely notice my camera.
As the sun was setting we were treated to the most beautiful golden hour, so it didn't take much persuasion for Jenny to hitch up her dress and follow me into the fields behind the house, which have a spectacular view of the Ochil Hills. Greig's best man came too and we snapped a 'bromance' picture!
Both the bride and groom made speeches before dinner, and set the mood lighting of the room to have a pretty pinky lilac tone. Every time I see the reception room I am amazed by how totally different it can look and be dressed to each couple's unique tastes and preferences - I adored the rose chair ribbons, hand tied by Bindya of Eze Events.
"We love them so much, thank you! It's taken us right back to the big day!"
