Royal College of Physicians wedding photography A vibrant, joyful celebration in the heart of the city, this wedding at the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh was full of colour, personality, and relaxed moments. Set on Queen Street in Edinburgh’s elegant New Town, this historic wedding venue offers a beautiful blend of grandeur and warmth — from the richly detailed New Library, where the couple held their ceremony surrounded by antique books and timeless architecture, to the striking main entrance that makes the perfect setting for a confetti celebration. Their colourful confetti moment outside the iconic doors was pure fun and a real highlight of the day.

Lizzie got ready at home with family and bridesmaids and arrived in style to the venue in a vintage car with her very proud father. Craig was waiting in the Library, where the ceremony took place. The light here is so beautiful, it's a dream to photograph! After the ceremony the couple descended the grand staircase and went outside for a fabulous confetti shower - a true explosion of colour!

After the ceremony, we took a few group photographs outside, then took a short walk to the nearby private Queen Street Gardens for natural, unhurried couple’s portraits, making the most of the greenery and quiet space away from the bustle of the city.

Guests enjoyed some fantastic speeches before dinner served by Saltire catering company in the stunning main hall. They then adjourned back into the library while the room was swiftly turned around for dancing to begin.
