When Anwen and Kirk booked me for their wedding at the gorgeous Dundee Botanic Gardens I was over the moon! My 'highlights' package of 3 hours of coverage suited them perfectly. The ceremony was set for 4.30pm, when the gardens are closed to the public, so they had exclusive use. It had been a day of constant drizzle, but without the pressures of a tight timeline, they were able to push the ceremony back by 15 minutes until the clouds had parted. This was perfect and they had the outdoor service they had dreamed of, underneath a beautiful tree.
Their guests formed an aisle for the fashion-forward bridal party to make their entrance and then joined together to watch as humanist celebrant, Gary Smith, introduced everyone. He invited Kirk and Anwen to begin a Mexican wave of hugs, setting the tone as a super laid-back and friendly wedding, where everyone felt like one big family. The couple also drank from a quaich and there was lots of clapping and cheering when they has sealed the deal!
Anwen and Kirk are true nature lovers, and chose me because of the way I photograph people in amongst the landscape, showcasing the beauty of both. We took our time exploring the stunning grounds and soaking in all the greenery then joined the guests back in the tropical greenhouses for a fun drinks reception.
Guests of every age adored the setting and there was plenty of space to listen to the brilliant speeches. This concluded the 3 hours of photography coverage and I left them to move on to a restaurant and night club, to feast and party the night away.
"We absolutely love them all - they are amazing; we can’t stop looking through them! It's so nice to see our guests were enjoying themselves as much as we were! The photos are perfect and exactly what we had hoped for. Thank you so much for capturing our special day" If you're planning an outdoor or alternative wedding, I'd love to capture the memories!
