Broxmouth Courtyard near Dunbar is a stunning luxury wedding venue with so much charm and character. The historic stable buildings have been refurbished with modern decor creating a truly beautiful place to celebrate - one of my favourite venues in Scotland! Charlotte and Jack brought amazing energy all day, which began with fun in the morning. Charlotte and her girls had all the giggles getting ready in a suite above the barn, while Jack and his groomsmen helped each other get ready in a cottage across the courtyard.
The barn at Broxmouth is so light and bright - a stunning ceremony space. Charlotte walked down the aisle to live guitar music, accompanied by her very proud father. The ceremony told the story of their relationship and adventure so far, with symbolic elements like the lighting of candles and a hand fasting. We had the best confetti shower outside in the courtyard - just look at those smiles!
Charlotte and Jack mingled with their guests after the confetti shower, and the personalised cocktails served from the tuktuk bar in the courtyard were a huge hit. The courtyard has plenty of space for group photographs and the brief was to keep these relaxed, which I loved, and I got loads of candid shots too.
The grounds at Broxmouth Courtyard are stunning, with a boating lake and pier just a short drive into the estate. The couple were up for a trip to the beach right beside the venue and I loved how quiet and secluded it was - we had the whole place to ourselves!
We returned to the courtyard for dinner in the stables, which was beautifully decorated with fresh flowers and rustic table centrepieces. The guests were entertained with some fantastic speeches, including a fun poem written by the bride as a surprise to her groom!
Charlotte and Jack welcomed their evening guests before cutting their cake and having an epic first dance to incredible music by Bleeker. The dancefloor was electric with the newlyweds leading the way. The standout moment was the evening confetti cannon on the dancefloor and Charlotte and Jack both being hoisted up on top of their guests shoulders - find yourself friends who truly lift you up!
