Connie and Grant planned a beautiful wedding day from afar, as Connie had been living in Australia while Grant was over in London. They reunited in Scotland to tie the knot at Grant's family church in Troon, then held a brilliant garden-party style reception with lawn games and large sperry tent over at Lochgreen House Hotel. Everything was so stylish and beautiful and I took a natural, unobtrusive approach to capture real moments as they happened and tell the story of this joyful day.
Connie and her bridesmaids began their wedding photography coverage while they got ready at The Salt Lodges in Troon, with hair styled by Danielle Cree and makeup by Amy Wright. Grant got ready at his family home nearby and then walked along to Portland Parish Church for the ceremony.
Their meaningful marriage ceremony was conducted by a close family friend as their minister. Connie and Grant chose to meet at the entrance of the church and have a moment together before walking down the aisle together - a very unusual but special moment which helped with any nerves! The beautiful florals and bouquets were created by Velvet Peonies Floristry - highly recommended!
After the ceremony Connie and Grant came out to a shower of confetti and rousing applause! This colourful paper confetti looks so great in pictures and is fully biodegradable. We made time for Grant and his dad and brother to stop by the Troon golf course to take a few celebratory swings!
We took some family photographs outside the church and then they drove away to the nearby beach for pictures with their bridal party. The mist was so thick that we couldn't see the sea but it was wonderfully atmospheric and so much fun!
Back at Lochgreen House hotel, garden games kept the guests entertained along with great music from Rusty's piano bar. The couple had prepared amazing favours for their guests - packages with their personal blend of coffee and hand baked cookies!
Grant's sister handmade the signs and Velvet Peonies adorned the sperry tent with beautiful spring flowers.
