Paul and Abbie's luxurious destination wedding at Monte Isola, Italy in August

Photographing this luxury destination wedding at Castello Oldofredi, on an island in Lake Iseo in Italy was a dream come true! Paul and Abbie flew me out to capture their incredible celebrations, along with their friends and family from all over the world.

I arrived to capture the preparations, in an atmosphere of great excitement and anticipation for the day ahead, accompanied by videographer Sean White Films. Makeup artist Daniela Guanziroli pampered the bride and her 7 bridesmaids, and they all tried to hold back tears when Abbie presented them with some surprise gifts and they saw how stunning she looked in her dress. Meanwhile the groom's party got ready in a room downstairs - personalised hip flasks and sunglasses completed their black tie ensembles.

Guests arrived by boat across the dazzling turquoise water, and were escorted to the stunning ceremony location underneath a floral arch overlooking the lake. The ceremony was both solemn and personal, as Paul and Abbie exchanged vows and rings, surrounded by their loved ones.

A three-piece acapella band sang while drinks and canapes were served in the olive grove. The bride, groom and their friends explored the winding streets down to the harbour and we captured some fun group shots, filled with laughter, love and celebration. Every part of Castello Oldofredi is truly stunning, so I then took a leisurely walk around with the couple to capture natural moments with them both in the glorious sunshine.

Another surprise for the guests was the special 'Love Island' themed bridal party entrance - the bridesmaids and groomsmen emerged in pairs, announced by the MC for the day, and rocked their way out with some hilarious dance moves! There was a standing ovation from all the guests as Abbie and Paul made their entrance to a song from The Greatest Showman, which was very personal to them. The evening continued with some funny and moving speeches as the sun set over the lake, and then a true Italian feast was served before the groom performed a song he had written for his bride.

DJ Paddyman had flown over from Dubai to get the party started and he really made it a night to remember. Sparklers, games and dancing under the stars - what better way could there be to end your wedding day?

"We were blown away with Natalie! We got so lucky finding her. Every single idea we had for pictures she made happen. We felt so comfortable the whole day in front of her. The fact that she took the time to learn family members' names we found a real personal touch. I hope to work again with her in the future! Xx"
